This sauce is so simple you won’t believe how good it is until you try it. It’s made from the low-priced tubs of curry powder you get from a supermarket. You won’t need to buy the more expensive bottles of sauce from now on.
Ingredients (Per Person):
- 1 tbsp curry powder or tandori curry powder.
- 1 tbsp flour
- 1 tbsp butter
- ½ tsp salt (maybe less, to taste)
- 1 cup whole milk (or coconut milk if you want a richer sauce)
Method
- Rub together butter and flour.
- Stir in curry powder.
- Melt in milk and stir until no lumps. The sauce should go slightly thicker as it cooks.
Try: chopped onion to it with spices (turmeric, cumin, and coriander). Add some cooked chicken or meat and re-heat into a good curry meal served with rice.
