This sauce is so simple you won’t believe how good it is until you try it. It’s made from the low-priced tubs of curry powder you get from a supermarket. You won’t need to buy the more expensive bottles of sauce from now on.

Ingredients (Per Person):

  • 1 tbsp curry powder or tandori curry powder.
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • ½ tsp salt (maybe less, to taste)
  • 1 cup whole milk (or coconut milk if you want a richer sauce)

Method

  • Rub together butter and flour.
  • Stir in curry powder.
  • Melt in milk and stir until no lumps. The sauce should go slightly thicker as it cooks.

Try: chopped onion to it with spices (turmeric, cumin, and coriander). Add some cooked chicken or meat and re-heat into a good curry meal served with rice.
