I have been searching for the perfect cookie recipes for years – I even went through of faze for making dozens of batches just to try and rival subway.

Well, let me tell you I have found it! These went down an absolute treat in my house and at work, to the point I had my colleagues chanting ‘we want more cookies’. So, looking to make a good impression at work? Knock up a batch of these bad boys…

Ingredients

  • 1 1⁄4 cups softened salted butter
  • 2 cups caster sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups plain flour
  • 3⁄4 cup cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • Pot of Dr Oetker caramel crunch

Prep Time: 10 mins       Cooking Time: 12 minutes       Total Time: 22 mins       Makes: around 35 cookies

Method

  1. Mix together the butter and sugar, then add in the eggs and vanilla, combining well.
  2. Stir in the cocoa and baking powder.
  3. Add the chocolate chips and salted caramel crunch to the flour – this avoids them all falling to the bottom of the mixture – and add all to the creamed mixture until mixed fully.
  4. Line a baking tray with greaseproof paper and make the balls aroumd 2-3cm in diameter with enough space in between for growth.
  5. Bake on the middle shelf at gas mark 4 (350C) for 12 minutes.
